Need a project idea?  We have what you need!  There are two ways to get information on a good project. The first is to check out the many books on the shelves now.  Pick up Dad's Book of Awesome Science Experiments: From Boiling Ice and Exploding Soap to Erupting Volcanoes and Launching Rockets by Mike Adamick or Try This! 50 Fun Experiments for the Mad Scientist in You by Karen R. Young.  Or visit the the Web for Kids link on the Kid's page for awesome websites by the Discovery Channel and Science Buddies!  Can't find what you want?  You can always request a title from another library from the library catalog.  Ask a staff member to show you how to use any of these services.

Take a computer class from your laptop or pc at home or in the library!  Click on the link to Workforce Skills for 21st Century Success and enroll in Improve Your Computer Skills.  Learn the basics of getting to know your computer, how to use email, using social media, keeping yourself safe online, and more!   Classes in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Outlook are also available.  Proceed at your own pace with easy to understand step-by-step instructions.  You will need your library card to register.  Ask a staff member to get you started!

Notice to Patrons:  The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) will be sending a minimal number of forms and No Booklets to libraries this tax season.  Forms and publications are available online at www.irs.gov. You can print needed materials from home or at the library.  There is a fee for printouts.  You will need your library card or picture ID to use the internet computers.  Library staff can help you print the forms you need and can steer you to the IRS webpage to help you determine which forms and/or publications you may need.

Did you know you can join our Tai Chi classes twice a week?  That knitters and crocheters get together twice a month?  That our Book Club meets every month?  No?  Now you do!  Give one or more of our personal enrichment programs a try.  Click on the link at the top right to find out to keep your heart, body, and mind in balance.

Reading Club Members!  Tired of the snow and cold?  Come to the Library where tropical breezes blow, exotic fish swim, and everyone wants to Luau Baby!  Winter Reading Party will be held on Saturday, February 21st from 11:00 am to Noon.  Island crafts, food, fun!  Winners will be announced!
