Kent State Players Children's Theatre will present the fairytale "Rumpelstiltskin" on July 1st at 10:00 am for all ages.  It's the story of a man who can spin straw into gold and the deal he makes with a Queen.  Is the Queen smart enough to out smart Rumpelstiltskin?  Can she save her baby in time!  Free and suitable for all. No registration is necessary.   

The Library will hold a Community Drum on Mondays at 6:30 pm in June, July, & August.  This is a new group so bring your own drum and/or percussion instruments. Drumming will take place outside in the garden, weather permiting, otherwise indoors, so bring your own chair/blanket/seat.   Glass containers are not allowed in the garden area, so bring water in plastic or other containers.  Please leave the following at home as they are not allowed: tobacco of any kind and smoking products; alcohol; drugs and drug related items; pets; firearms/weapons of any kind.  You do not need to register and there is no charge.  Just come and drum!  

Dr. John Vohlidka is back on July 1st at 6:00 pm with fun with the Caped Crusader!  Find out the history of Batman through comics, television, movies and more!  Who is Bruce Wayne?  Hero or vigilante?  He's one of the few superheroes with no "super powers" so how does he survive the dark side of Gotham City? Everyone is welcome!  Free, no registration is required! 


It's a bird, it's a plane, it's...Every Hero Has A Story!  2015 Summer Reading Program for children, teens, and adults. The Program will run from June 1 to July 10.  Participants can earn chances on super prizes.  We have Read-To-Me for Pre-K kids.  K-12 grade and adults can read and listen to books to earn prizes.  This year you will see lots of superheroes around the library.  Kids can join the Superhero Academy. Add your super power to the wall.  Attend special events in July:  The History of Batman on July 1 @ 6:00 pm. Kent State Trumbull Youth Theater will present "Rumplestiltskin" on July 1 at 10:00 am.  It is suitable for all ages.  We have a super end planned for the party on July 10th!  You never know what real, live superhero you may see!  Upon registration you will receive a schedule of events and programs.
