Track time spent reading complete challenges, and check out books to earn scratch off tickets, small prizes and tickets for prize drawings. Our youngest campers who may not be reading on their own may participate in the Read Together Program aimed at helping to develop early literacy skills and a love of reading together, earning small prizes along the way.
Pick up a summer reading packet to begin tracking each day you are reading together and completing activities. Children will receive small incentive prizes along the way and earn raffle tickets to enter prize drawings. We encourage families with pre-school aged children to also participate in 1000 Books Before Kindergarten.
TEENS & ADULTS: PEACE, LOVE. READ!
Read from June 7th - July 14th for a chance to win prizes!
Here's how it works:
1. Check out a book from the Library.
The library staff member who serves you will give you a scratch-off ticket. You may also borrow books or audiobooks from the Library's e-media collection and show your virtual book shelf on your digital device to a staff member to receive a ticket. (Limit: Only one scratch-off ticket can be earned per person per day)
2. Scratch your ticket to see what you've won!
3. Write your name and phone number and circle your age group on your scratch-off ticket and give it to a library staff member to redeem your prize.
Summer Reading programs were funded in part through a federal Institute of Museum and Library Services LSTA grant awarded by the State Library of Ohio.
