Total Solar Eclipse Viewing Party

Monday, April 8, 2024

2:00 pm- 4:00 pm

Total eclipse starting at 3:15 pm and lasting 2 minutes and 32 seconds.

Kinsman Free Public Library will be hosting a Total Eclipse Viewing Party on Monday, April 8! Experience this celestial spectacle at the Library! A total solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the Sun. We will be distributing protective viewing glasses free of charge (while supplies last) and enjoying live music from Take II Band. We will kick things off starting at 2:00 p.m. leading up to the blackout shortly after 3:00 p.m. Bring lawn chairs or a blanket to enjoy the show in our Reading Garden or grassy hill behind the building. Our friends from Travelers Coffee Company will have festive eclipse themed beverages available for purchase. The event is open to the public. We are looking forward to celebrating this once in a lifetime event with our community.

The library building will be closed during the program from 2:00-4:00 p.m., but will reopen for regular services from 4:00-5:00 p.m.

Kinsman Free Public Library is located at 6420 Church St. Kinsman, Ohio 44428. Stay up to date on the latest developments by visiting our website or our Facebook page.
