THE ENGAGER Monday, April 8 at 2:00 p.m. Experience this celestial spectacle at the Library! A total solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the Sun. We will be distributing protective viewing glasses (while supplies last), enjoying live music and activities starting at 2:00 p.m. leading up to the blackout shortly after 3:00 p.m. LIBRARY WILL BE CLOSED DURING THE PROGRAM 2:00-4:00 P.M., BUT WILL REOPEN FOR REGULAR SERVICES FROM 4:00-5:00 P.M. TOTAL ECLIPSE VIEWING PARTY Fabric Paint Eclipse T-shirts Eclipse Painted Bookmarks Thursday, March 21 at 4:00 p.m. Come hand paint a wooden bookmark to commemorate the upcoming 2024 total eclipse. Thursday, April 4 at 4:00 p.m. Bring your own shirt (black or dark colors are preferred) to create a one-of-a-kind Solar Eclipse 2024 souvenir. No registration required. Each participant will learn how to decorate three cookies to eat or share with their special someone. For ages 16 and up. Registration is required by Friday, February 16. Children’s Winter Reading Challenge, 1st-29th Special Kickoff Event Saturday, February 3 on Take Your Child to the Library Day. Pick up a Reading Challenge Bingo form and a free COSI Connects Kit, while supplies last. These kits are made possible through a partnership between Cosi Science Center and the Ohio Library Council. Kits contain water-themed stem based activities for grades K-8. No registration required. Love Bug Cookies with SweetieBug Confections No School Movie Day Friday, February 16 at 1:00 p.m. No school – come hang out at the library! All are welcome to join us to watch a PG movie and enjoy snacks. Movie to be announced at a later date, check the website and Facebook for details. Registration is required by Wednesday, February 14. February Five Nights at Freddy’s Pizza Pi Day Thursday, March 14 at 4:00 p.m. FNAF fans unite, come dressed as your favorite character for themed games, activities, and of course, pizza! For ages 10-18 years, registration is required by Monday, March 11. Eggstravaganza Saturday, March 23 at 11:00 a.m. The annual egg hunt is back. Children ages 2 - 8 will hunt for candy and prize filled eggs in the library as well as a Chocolate Chicken. Registration is required by Saturday, March 16. Limited spaces available.
